About my Products

It all started with my black velvet burnishing pad. About 5 years ago my cousin, Virginia made a few prototypes to try out. After using them myself and giving them to a few fellow gilders, we realized how great they were for burnishing gilds versus cotton. I was able to find a seamstress, Nikki in Los Angeles who has been making them ever since.
The water size brush was developed a year later when I realized a need for a quality brush that would not rust (metal Ferrule) and be more absorbant to flood the glass area better.
In Chicago all the old time gilders used metal size pots to hold their water size when glass gilding. I personally have used one my entire gilding career. I was fortunate to find a coppersmith in Vermont to manufacture them according to my specs.

The gilders tip was designed and made to replicate my favorite tip I've been using for many years.
I discovered through a friend, a higher grade sheet gelatin that only requires 2 diamonds per pint of water. It's superior to most sheet gelatin and capsules that contain glycerine.
My latest offering is my custom designed T-shirt with the Edward Johnston quote.
I contacted Noel B. Weber the end of last year and he graciously agreed and designed it for me. I personally spent many hours digitizing his original hand drawn art to convert it to 4 color screen printing. Thanks Noel!
All my products were developed and designed for you to acheive brighter gilds and work more efficiently.
